This page describes the purposes for which CX Genie uses cookies and similar technologies. See our Privacy Policy to learn how we protect your privacy in connection with our use of cookies and similar technologies.

1. How CX Genie Uses Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your browser by a website you visit. They help that website remember information about your visit, which can make it easier to use the site and more useful to you. Similar technologies — including unique identifiers, and browser local/session storage — can perform the same function. Cookies and similar technologies as described on this page are used for the purposes below.

Purposes of Cookies and Similar Technologies Used by CX Genie

CX Genie may store or use some or all of the technologies described below in your browser or app. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, including rejecting cookies for certain purposes (though mobile browsers may offer less visibility into this).

Functionality

Cookies and similar technologies used for functionality purposes allow you to access features that are fundamental to our services. This includes remembering your preferences, maintaining your session while you use our Chat Widget or Ticket Portal, and enabling features you've requested.

Security

CX Genie uses cookies and similar technologies for security purposes — for example, to authenticate signed-in users and help protect against abuse of our services. [Specific cookie/token names and retention periods to be confirmed — see Privacy Policy.]

Analytics

CX Genie uses analytics and session-recording tools on our marketing site and dashboard to understand how visitors and users interact with our services, so we can improve them. [Specific tools and cookie names/retention periods to be confirmed — see Privacy Policy.]

2. How CX Genie Uses Location Information

CX Genie's Privacy Policy describes how we use data, including location information, when you use our products and services. This page provides additional detail about the location information we collect and how it's used.

How does CX Genie use location information?

  • To make experiences useful: Where you provide an address as part of using our services — for example, submitting a support ticket or form that asks for your address — we store that address information to help deliver the relevant service.
  • To make experiences more secure: Location information derived from your IP address may help us protect your account — for example, by identifying unusual sign-in activity.

How does CX Genie know my location?

From your IP address

An IP address is a number assigned to your device by your internet service provider, used to connect your device to the websites and services you use. When you interact with our Ticket Portal, we may derive general location information (such as city or region) from your IP address to support the service.

From information you provide

If you submit an address as part of a form, ticket, or other service request — for example, a delivery or contact address — we store that information as part of your submission. You can request correction or deletion of this information; see our Privacy Policy for details on exercising your data rights.

3. How CX Genie Uses Credit Card Numbers for Payment

CX Genie uses the credit card and debit card numbers you provide to facilitate payments for the online or offline purchases you make and for fraud mitigation purposes. The CX Genie Payments Privacy Notice provides detailed information about how we use your payment and account information, including the information we collect and how we share it. We only share personal information with third parties in the circumstances described in the CX Genie Payments Privacy Notice. The credit card and debit card numbers you provide to CX Genie are encrypted and stored on secure servers in a secure location.

4. How CX Genie Retains Data We Collect

We collect data as you use CX Genie's services. What we collect, why we collect it, and how you can manage your information are described in our Privacy Policy. This page describes how we retain different types of data. Some data you can delete yourself, and some data we retain for longer periods where necessary, such as for legal or business purposes.

Information you can delete

We offer ways to remove certain data from your CX Genie Account or workspace. For example:

  • A workspace admin can delete a customer record.
  • A workspace admin can delete their own user account.
  • A workspace admin can request bulk deletion of contact information.
  • Content added to your AI Agent's knowledge base can be deleted.

Information retained for extended periods for limited purposes

Sometimes business and legal requirements mean we retain certain information for a specific purpose over an extended period. For example, payment and billing records processed through our payment provider may be retained longer than other data for accounting or tax purposes. Reasons we may retain data for longer periods include:

  • Security, fraud, and abuse prevention
  • Financial record-keeping
  • Complying with legal or regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring the continuity of our services
  • Direct communications with CX Genie
